I have already previously done a review on their EP which you can read here. Finally seeing the band live has enhanced my vision that I have for this band. Once upon a time in rural Northwest Georgia, there was a smattering of metal bands, many of which involved a rotating cast of miscreants, ne'er-do-wells, duster huffers, and meth addicts with general inclinations toward violence and self-destruction. These bands fell apart in grand and glorious fashion, and as they dropped like drunken and belligerent dominoes, surviving members went on to form ne...w ventures, only to have them implode like the dying stars that they were. | Shotgun Eulogy has a wonderful set. The vocalist, Jay, loves to crack some jokes on stage which gets the crowd laughing and most importantly, grabs their attention! Their performance includes crowd interaction which is one of my top "must-do's" to be successful! There was also a few times when the guitarist had jumped off the stage shredding while in the audience- something I've never seen before! By the end of the night I and along with everyone else following me, jumped on the stage WITH S.E and jammed with the band. When it was all over everyone got huge hugs, and a big "thank you"! Shotgun has created a memory that I will never forget, thanks guys!!! Shotgun's music is simple yet heavy! Their guitarist, Seth, can shred out of nowhere! My favorite is Jay's vocals and how high pitched he can get them. I must add, not very many people stayed for their set which was disappointing - to me. I feel like this band needs more fans and a bigger audience. If you're interested in Lamb Of God, Chelsea Grin, As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, The Black Dahlia Murder, Hatebreed or basically anyone that likes music that's easily enjoyable and not too complex, or not too much going on like Brain Drill, you should definitely make it out to their next show. I love this band's performance live, they sound and perform great, their music is good, all of their personalities are awesome and they are a good band overall. I wanna give a shout out to Tod: thank you so much for keeping up with my posts and activity, It was great seeing you and technically "playing" your guitar on stage (LOL) and you're my favorite!!! shout out to Jay: thanks for giving me a shout out and letting me jump on stage, also for being a good friend it was also nice seeing you ! thanks for making it possible for me to make it to your show <3 I keep up with Shotgun Eulogy! So be sure to be on the look out when their next show is and try them out! If you see them, I would love some feedback! help the metal scene and come out to one of their shows! Facebook "likes" are great and all but actually coming out to a show is honorable and true support! STAY HEAVY!! \M/ |
