Members: Adam Lahr - Paul Lawrence - Ashley Taylor - Kevin Welborn - Webb Huffstatler Genre: metal Website: http://throatpunchmusic.com/ Facebook: www.faceook.com/throatpunchofficial After being an internet creeper by "Facebook stalking" / "internet stalking" the band ThroatpuncH, I think I have learned what it all means to be a part of the brutal family! This band really knows how to party! ThroatpuncH is definitely on my wish list to see live!! I am highly jealous of all the fans who have partied with them. The more I look into the band, the more I catch myself asking, "why have I not ever heard of these guys till now?!" About- ThroatpuncH formed in 2008 and immediately started working on their first album which was released in 2010 with a little help from Sevendust and Eye Emperor. ThroatpuncH's career lifted from there and was rewarded as "The Best Rock Band" in 2012 by the Georgia Music Awards! Then by November of 2013 their second album, "can't understand normal thinking" was released and also seems to be a huge fan favorite! Just recently of August, 2014, they released a music video for "sleeper cell" ! For more recent news, ThroatpuncH now is on Pandora! There are currently no shows booked for ThroatpuncH. They are practicing and getting ready to branch out in different states, in hopes to become bigger and better! There is always room for improvement and I can't wait to see what's next! Fans- from talking with a few fans, they all seem to have excitement when "ThroatpuncH" is mentioned. Their reaction makes me giggle. Anxious to know, I asked frontman, Adam to describe to me his fanbase and one thing that stuck out to me the most was when he said, "As numbers of people at our shows have increased I've noticed that there isn't really a discernible demographic in majority. I've seen people of all walks and backgrounds and all different ages wearing our shirts." I think it's truly amazing that music, metal specifically can bring together such different people. He added, "I do notice that there seem to be more chicks in attendance than one would expect at a band called Throatpunch's show and in no way is that a negative observation. " I had no choice but to laugh! I think all bands enjoy the lady fans. When coming to conclusions, Adam finished off saying, " Overall I'd say that our following is not your typical"scene". You'll find all sorts of crazies and weirdos in our midst." It is truly amazing to know a little something about ThroatpuncH and their fans! I can't wait till I get the opportunity to see these guys live and in action! One simply cannot listen to ThroatpuncH and NOT want to see them live... these guys are brutal!!! | Music- When I listen to their music I immediately feel energized and wanna tear down some walls! The music flows and feels right! The best way to describe their music is for you to listen for yourself! You can listen here. I am personally a huge fan of each individual musician. There isn't a "weak player" in the band. The vocals "fit" right into the music, his harsh vocals are unique and on point with each song. The clean vocals are not too much, they are beautiful and sounds attractive! The guitarist is absolutely lovely! He shreds at all the right times and all the right places in each songs. The melody and flow sounds catchy and perfect. The bassist doesn't sound "invisible". He is definitely doing his job and the drummer is lovely! If I had to pick one musician to fan girl over I'd have a really hard time picking. There is just something about each member that I like! I seriously need to find a way to see these guys live.... maybe if I beg them enough, they will set up a show! ;) you can also read an album review here. My favorite songs are: "Murder On The First Date" "No Thank You" |
