warning: vulgar language is used!
My modeling has been okay for the most part! I just recently got my own photographer in training, Jessica Goss and I am super excited about working with her! When it comes to modeling it's like there's two worlds... there's your world with your modeling and how you are doing then there's the other world where models are being presented and looked at and brought together, socializing together. In your world, everything will be how you want it, it's smooth and just fine... don't let that trick you into thinking modeling is great fun and easy!! To start off, one typically gets into site modeling, takes their own pictures then advances to getting a pro photographer do TF shoots, then starts getting paid, then that progress to getting into agencies then eventually representing companies. If you're like me, you'll refuse to advance into the agency world knowing the BS that they'll put you though. The best way to get further is to just simply talk to people who are more experienced and better than you so you can learn... but here's the "fun" and "exciting" part: most models who think they are bigger and better than everyone else are straight up assholes and bitches that will get you nowhere in life!! all they will do is bring you down and tell you that you're not a real model, that you're armature, not good enough. They will make you believe that you're not worth anything just because they have "been there and done that" FORGETTING that they didn't just wake up and be that great of a model. NEWSFLASH they didn't! on top of that, you will have useless people try to tell you what to do and how to do things when they themselves have little to NO experience of modeling. and I don't mean "constructive criticism" I mean they're just as fucked up as these lowlife models who think that they are worth more than everyone else! I always told myself, "if they think they are so much better then how come they are not doing it??" and if they are a former model , "why are they still not doing it.. " theres a reason why these assholes quit!! | I also want to talk about photographers because photographers are just as, if not, more fucked up than these "models" that I just got done talking about... If you are talking with a photographer who is rather successful and has a name for his/herself you have been warned!! these people also think they are so all that and if you don't look a certain way, aren't a certain size or you aren't that experienced/big of a model, HA!! You need to find a photographer that has no problem about your looks, style weight size or how unexperienced you are! Also note, some photographers seriously just don't have the time, but if they're a bitch in anyway forget about it. Also, you don't need to shoot nudes.. point and blank.. being naked in front of the camera is a porn star not a model, there's a difference. if any photographer *insists* you do nudes "or else" walk away... no explanation.. if a photographer want you to pay them, walk away, ,if the photographer wants you to lose/gain weight walk away, and NEVER tell a photographer your ideas because through personal experience they'll turn around and use your ideas with a client or other model so wait for them to agree before you pour your heart out to them!!!! fans are also hard to get. let's face it.. you can go on facebook and see millions of pictures of everyone else so you kinda have to make yourself a little more unique and special than just "ordinary pictures". most fans have been brain washed by society and expect "models" to be hot, sexy thin and tall naked ladies . other fans might expect you to be some type of celebrity that has met other celebrities or even maybe a "big time model" so prepare yourself all for that also ;) |
long story short, my point is, don't get into modeling thinking that everyone is just so sweet and helpful! you better have thick skin and grow an attitude and learn the different from someone being truthful and just a straight up bitch! "constructive criticism" should always be about how you can improve and be better NOT that you can't do anything because you're not good enough. REAL models will encourage you, help you out, maybe even refer you to someone else who can help if they are too busy.... it's big... its scary and its fucking ugly out there.... don't do it!!!
on the bright and positive side
you will always have those fans that love you so much and support you and what ever you choose to do. there will also be those rare models who will help you with every step of the way... but note rare. and you might even find a photographer that also needs practice so you'll get TF shoots eventually.. there's always a bright side to everything and the only thing I do is look at every single person who appreciates me and my doings, and I appreciate them right back! I never forget those who got me here, and I never forget about my fans. I also never let popularity get to my head. I'll always be that "Destiny Morell" that everyone knows about and loves! and most of all, I don't plan on quitting just because things are getting rough and people are being assholes... im going to keep going and stay heavy!! My outcome out weighs the negativity that I receive. XOXO |
